About The Position

This role is for a hands-on individual who enjoys fixing things and has a knack for understanding how machines work. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful in finding information, and communicates clearly. You will be responsible for servicing commercial coffee equipment at client locations, diagnosing and repairing issues, and ensuring machines are functioning optimally. This is a field-based role where you will manage your own schedule and service calls.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with tasks like changing outlets, replacing fixtures, or completing home repair projects.
  • Familiarity with using a multimeter.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Ability to identify outlet types and plumbing thread sizes.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble components.
  • Ability to reference parts diagrams and machine documentation.
  • Ability to write accurate, professional service notes.
  • Ability to manage tickets and time through a digital dispatch platform.
  • Ability to explain technical findings clearly to customers.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Reliable smartphone.
  • Secure address for parts deliveries.
  • Basic confidence with vehicle upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Handle two to three service calls per day at commercial coffee accounts.
  • Use a multimeter to take voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity readings.
  • Read electrical and hydraulic diagrams to trace faults.
  • Identify outlet types and plumbing thread sizes, and build adapters when needed.
  • Disassemble and reassemble components with care.
  • Reference parts diagrams and machine documentation for part numbers.
  • Write accurate, professional service notes using complete sentences, correct spelling, and no slang.
  • Manage tickets and time through ServiceTitan, the digital dispatch platform.
  • Explain findings clearly to customers in plain language.
  • Taste coffee regularly to confirm a machine is dialed in after a repair.
  • Assist with parts receiving and inventory counts.
  • Perform basic vehicle upkeep, such as handling a flat tire or arranging for scheduled maintenance.
