About The Position
Review and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier coding for OB/GYN clinic encounters. Code office visits, preventive services, procedures, and professional OB services. Apply 2021–2023 E/M guidelines accurately for office and outpatient clinic encounters. Review provider documentation for coding accuracy, specificity, and compliance. Ensure appropriate modifier usage including -25, -59, -24, and OB-related modifiers. Support global maternity billing and antepartum/postpartum visit tracking. Identify coding-related claim issues and documentation opportunities. Maintain coding productivity and quality standards. Stay current with CPT, ICD-10, CMS, ACOG, and payer guideline updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of credentialed professional coding experience in OB/GYN clinic or physician office setting required
- Strong understanding of Office and outpatient E/M coding
- Strong understanding of Preventive and problem-focused visits
- Strong understanding of OB/GYN procedural coding
- Strong understanding of Global maternity billing
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 diagnosis coding
- Strong understanding of Modifier application
- Knowledge of payer-specific billing and documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and coding accuracy
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EPIC and 3M systems a plus
