About the position

The COB Specialist at Regal Medical Group is responsible for researching and maintaining the coordination of benefits for various health plan entities. This role ensures that eligibility data in the EZ-Cap system is accurate and up-to-date, while also communicating with health plans, members, and internal departments to verify and document necessary information according to Medicare guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Research and maintain coordination of benefits for health plan entities.
• Verify COB information with health plans and members.
• Document all activities and changes in the EZ-Cap system.
• Educate staff on Medicare guidelines and changes.
• Communicate COB status at weekly meetings.
• Perform research and analysis of membership eligibility records.
• Investigate retroactive cancellations and eligibility issues.
• Respond to membership inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 3 years of office experience in Managed Health Care.
• Knowledge of HMO, PPO, EPO, POS, Government Funded, Medicare, and Medicaid plans.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Associate's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with data entry skills.
• Knowledge of EZ-Cap preferred.
