Coaching - Assistant/JV Girls Basketball Coach

About the position

Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the position of Assistant/JV Girls Basketball Coach at Phoenix High School. The role involves helping to coach and supervise teams during practices, games, and other activities. The assistant coach will assist the Head Coach with the overall program, provide consistent discipline and direction by following PHS and the program's policies, and maintain equipment, supplies, uniforms, game score books, statistics, and accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Help coach and supervise teams in practices, on bus trips, during games, and in the locker room.
• Assist Head Coach with overall program.
• Provide consistent discipline and direction by following PHS and the program's policies.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, uniforms, game score book, statistics, and accurate records.

Requirements

• High School basketball playing experience.
• Basketball coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fundamentals and techniques of play.
• ASEP/NFHS certified or ability to become certified.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification and other required trainings or willingness to obtain.
• Meet required driver's training for activity van usage.
• Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid Oregon teaching license.
• Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish and English.
