The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a CO Nurse Practitioner to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to optimize team performance and patient outcomes. The department is seeking an excellent clinician to provide clinical care to adults and pediatric patients at the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center Campus. The CO Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing high quality and effective patient care through the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic mental illness. In addition to providing direct patient care, the Nurse Practitioner also educates patients and family members regarding mental illness. The Nurse Practitioner shares responsibility for the provision of excellent health care in compliance with state and federal accreditation requirements, and practices within the guidelines of the Department of Psychiatry, Johns Hopkins Medicine and in accordance with the Maryland Board of Nursing. The Nurse Practitioner is granted privileges by the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center Medical Board; these privileges list specific tasks and are reviewed annually.
