About the position
As a CNC Operator at Aerotek, you will be responsible for producing high-quality parts with precision and efficiency. This role requires a commitment to excellence in machining, operating and maintaining CNC machines, and ensuring the quality of workpieces through routine inspections and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and routers.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform precise machining tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure accuracy and quality of workpieces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, tooling, and materials.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work closely with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Proficiency in CNC machine operation and programming.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality control.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and machine maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Technical certification or training in CNC machining preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with various CNC machines and control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas).
- Ability to work with metals, plastics, and composites.
