About the position

Granite Works Stone Design is looking for a dedicated CNC Operation Support team member to assist in the operation of CNC machinery for stone fabrication. This entry-level position focuses on supporting the production team with material handling and ensuring efficient operations in the fabrication process. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC equipment and a solid understanding of stone materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating CNC machines used for stone cutting, shaping, and polishing.
• Load and unload materials into CNC machines, ensuring proper setup for cutting and fabrication.
• Monitor CNC equipment during operation to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure material handling is efficient and safe.
• Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints and templates for production accuracy.
• Perform quality checks on finished pieces to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
• Keep the workspace organized and clean to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support the team in loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
• Help with other fabrication tasks as needed to support overall production goals.

Requirements

• Experience with CNC machinery or in a related field is required.
• Prior experience working with heavy stone materials such as granite, marble, and quartz is preferred.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and blueprints for precise machine setup.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic CNC machine issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift and handle heavy stone materials safely.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve skills.
• Valid driver's license with minimal incidents in the last three years.
