About the position

The CNC Machinist at Parlec LLC is responsible for setting up and operating Mazak lathes to produce precision parts. This role involves programming, inspecting, and maintaining a clean work area while ensuring productivity and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate any CNC lathe safely and productively.
• Create programs on lathe control using Mazatrol.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections.
• Load parts into machines.
• Work independently and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Deburr parts and ensure they are ding-free.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
