About The Position

We have several openings for experienced CNC Machinists to run jobs on CNC Lathes and Mills. This role involves working with aluminum, some plastic, and stainless steel to produce simple parts. The company utilizes Okuma 10 & Okuma 10 SS and Okuma 12 machines with OSB 300L Control, which include 3-Axis, 4-Axis, and 5-Axis capabilities, and lathes equipped with bar feeders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills.
• Working knowledge of Algebra and Geometry.
• Ability to perform metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable for part quality.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for in-process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets and programs as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Ability to work off of blueprints.
• Ability to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines, including cleaning and weekly/monthly coolant maintenance (no mechanical repairs).
• Assist around the shop with tasks such as deburring and tapping to ensure continuous part production.
• Maintain all paperwork associated with part production and company records.
• Observe and adhere to safety policies and procedures, operating in a safe manner.
