About the position

New Paltz Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is actively seeking dedicated CNA Team Members to join our skilled nursing facility located in New Paltz, NY. This position offers full-time opportunities with various shifts available, including day, evening, and night shifts. We are excited to announce a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new hires! The compensation for this role is competitive, with earnings up to $20.25 per hour based on experience and shift differentials. The base rate ranges from $18.00 to $19.50, with an additional $0.75 for evening and night shifts. As a CNA Team Member, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include observing residents and reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse, assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as bed baths and shaving, setting up meal trays, documenting food and fluid intake, and feeding residents as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy environment for the residents, including making beds and keeping their spaces organized. Additionally, you will assist in transporting residents within the facility and turning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores. Responsibilities

  • Observing residents and reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse.
  • Assisting with residents' personal hygiene, including bed baths and shaving.
  • Setting up meal trays and documenting food/fluid intake.
  • Feeding residents and serving nutritional supplements.
  • Making beds and keeping the residents' space clean and tidy.
  • Transporting residents within the facility.
  • Turning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all resident and facility data.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work as a team member.
  • Successful completion of a CNA program.
  • Current NY State Certification.
  • In good standing with State Registry.
