About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home community care, hospice care, nursing homes, and memory care facilities. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving to different locations within the facility or home.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
  • Support specialized care needs in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, and those with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home community care or hospice care is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with memory care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Experience in nursing homes or similar healthcare settings is advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
