About The Position

As a cloud engineer, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions for collaboration and simulation infrastructure, addressing critical problems for the warfighter. You will leverage the latest cloud technologies to improve client environments, inform strategy, design solutions, and ensure standards are met during cloud migration. Responsibilities include managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. The role requires applying specific functional and general industry knowledge to develop solutions for problems of moderate scope and complexity. You will work independently with some guidance and may review or guide the activities of more junior employees. This is a hands-on technical role requiring evaluation of emerging Microsoft technologies, implementation of solutions aligned with business objectives, and effective communication of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience with designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure cloud environments
  • Experience implementing and supporting security, compliance, and governance solutions
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering

  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and identity synchronization
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft environments
  • Experience with ITIL-based service management practices
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services and associated security, compliance, and collaboration platforms.
  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and device compliance.
  • Developing, maintaining, and automating administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
  • Monitoring cloud environments and proactively identifying opportunities for performance improvements, security enhancements, and cost optimization.
  • Configuring and managing Microsoft Entra ID, including identity governance, authentication, conditional access, and access management.
  • Designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Implementing and supporting security, compliance, and governance solutions.
