About the position

STORE Capital Advisors, LLC is seeking a solution-oriented, professional with high attention to detail and a passion for commercial real estate to join our team. Closing Specialist is a key member of STORE's Portfolio Operations team, responsible for managing and coordinating the timely and accurate closing of real estate acquisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external parties to set and track closing schedules, ensuring smooth execution of each transaction. The Specialist gathers and reviews due diligence documentation-such as surveys, appraisals, environmental reports, and title work-and follows up on closing requirements and timing delays. The Specialist also works with external real estate counsel to negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases and other documents. This position plays a vital role in driving operational efficiency and maintaining transaction integrity throughout the acquisition process.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of real estate closings from approval to funding
  • Liaise both internally and externally with Customers, Underwriting, Sales, Escrow and Outside Legal Counsel throughout the closing process
  • Order and review due diligence materials (title, survey, zoning, environmental, and property condition reports) with support from Outside Legal Counsel
  • Collaborate with Outside Legal Counsel and Customers to review and negotiate lease and closing documentation
  • Oversee escrow activity and facilitate seamless communication with all closing parties
  • Partner with internal departments including Accounting, Investment Committee, and senior management to ensure alignment
  • Provide timely updates on closing timelines, exceptions, and issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or company leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Real Estate, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Property Management or in a similar role supporting a law firm or REIT focused on commercial real estate
  • Paralegal and/or title company experience highly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe, and web-based research tools
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented team player
