Responsibilities

  • Complete initial comprehensive assessment of clients who have identified a need for behavioral health services.
  • Complete diagnostic formulation and treatment recommendations.
  • Engage client in safety/crisis planning.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when indicated.
  • Assess eligibility for services, medical necessity, and treatment preferences.
  • Complete treatment plans including client's strengths, preferences, and behaviorally based goals and objectives as required by program standards.
  • Conduct eligibility screenings and comprehensive intake and follow up assessments.
  • Conduct client evaluations including bio-psychosocial assessment, diagnostic formulation, and initial treatment plan recommendations.
  • Meet with clients to provide individual counseling and assist clients in attaining treatment goals.
  • Write treatment plans including client's strengths with behaviorally based goals and objectives.
  • Document service delivery in accordance with department standards and progress of goals and objectives in progress notes.
  • Refer clients to resources with and outside CHL.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Develop a training plan to enhance professional growth.
  • Participate in utilization management and assist in re-accreditation processes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field).
  • Requires licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Satisfactory CORI background check.
  • Current valid US-issued driver's license and a registered, inspected, and insured automobile for work related purposes.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience working in a clinical environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health or addiction is preferred.
  • Clinical expertise specific to adults with substance use conditions and co-occurring severe and persistent mental illness.
