About the position

The Clinician for the Crisis Residential Treatment Program at Bay Area Community Services (BACS) is responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic interventions and services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness in a structured residential setting. This role involves developing treatment plans, conducting assessments, leading group counseling, and managing the therapeutic milieu to support residents' wellness and recovery. The position requires a Master's degree in social work or a related field and offers opportunities for clinical supervision hours towards licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a full complement of services including individual, family, and group counseling.
  • Utilize Evidence-Based Practice to ensure high-quality results for the designated population.
  • Continuously assess individuals' risk status and intervene appropriately.
  • Create service plans that are person-centered and aimed at individual recovery goals.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement with clients, reporting disengagement to the team.
  • Work with the outreach team to determine disenrollment based on program protocols.
  • Perform domain-based assessments, screening referrals, and benefits coordination.
  • Document and maintain all data collection and reporting in accordance with regulatory policies.
  • Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and agency-wide training as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Marriage Family Therapy (MFT), or Clinical Counseling (MPCC).
  • Associate ASW/LCSW or Associate MFT/LMFT with current BBS registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of social service experience.
  • Direct service experience with older adults, forensic/re-entry, TAY, or adults.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in a threshold language preferred.
