About the position

The Clinical Training & Development Specialist at Upward Health is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive training programs for clinical staff. This role involves creating various training formats, including instructor-led, web-based, and virtual classroom settings, to ensure that clinical roles are well-trained and compliant with regulations. The specialist collaborates with leadership and subject matter experts to enhance clinical staff effectiveness and align training programs with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs for clinical staff.
  • Implement various training formats, including instructor-led, web-based, and virtual classroom settings.
  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure effective training delivery.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance of training programs with relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Manage multiple training projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Deliver training across various platforms, including in-person and remote settings.
  • Adapt training materials based on evolving needs and feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, education, or a related field required.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in clinical training and development with content development experience required.
  • Strong understanding of clinical operations, healthcare regulations, and patient care best practices.
  • Experience in designing and developing training content for clinical staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and adapt training materials.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of chronic care management, population health, and value-based care preferred.
  • Experience facilitating clinical systems training, knowledge of Athena and Salesforce a plus.
