About the position
The Clinical Supervisor position is a part-time role based in Petersburg, VA, offering a hybrid work environment. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Supervisor is to oversee a team of Counselors, manage client caseloads, and ensure compliance with treatment plans and regulations. The role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of patient care and health care policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular supervision meetings with staff
- Oversee training and development of new and existing staff
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff regarding scheduling and treatment plans
- Complete all required documentation including tracking individualized behaviors, service plans, and progress notes
- Engage in Care Coordination with staff and community service providers
- Maintain compliance with funding source regulations and documentation requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor is desired
- Required licensing/certification to perform this role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep understanding of health care policies and regulations
- Demonstrable ability to manage others, including scheduling and problem-solving
- Completion of a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related human services field
- Meet the criteria for a Licensed Eligible Mental Health Professional per Virginia DMAS and DBHDS standards
- Clinical experience in Community Mental Health with youth and/or adults with severe mental illnesses
