The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of the designated clinic/unit, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Five (5)+ years of experience in the field of Nursing, with at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Valid Registered Nurse license

Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Functions as a working supervisor — maintain awareness of unit/clinic status, anticipate problems, and lead operational responses.
  • Serves as liaison with administration and clinical leadership, communicating issues, needs, trends, and performance data.
  • Participates in committees and planning groups to develop unit- or service-line plans, policies, and performance goals.
  • Recruits, hires, orients, schedules, and evaluates clinical staff, including nurses and support personnel.
  • Monitors staffing levels and quality of work assignments, ensuring adequate coverage within budget restraints.
  • Oversees performance appraisals, professional development, and corrective action as needed.
  • Implements and oversee quality assurance studies and quality improvement efforts, analyze outcomes, and report results.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing, accrediting, and regulatory standards relevant to the clinical area.
  • Develops, interprets, and implements clinical policies, guidelines, and protocols.
  • Coordinates personnel records, payroll documentation, leave tracking, and scheduling.
  • Participates in budget development and financial oversight, including tracking expenses and initiating purchases of supplies and equipment.
  • Prepares statistical and narrative reports on unit performance as requested.
  • Conducts annual needs assessments with staff to evaluate long-term needs and improvement areas.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
