About the position

As part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are devoted to the study of brain and behavior throughout the lifespan. The Neurodevelopmental Trajectories in 22q11DS project is a longitudinal study designed to examine developmental trajectories through the phenotyping of psychopathology, neurobehavioral, and environmental exposures, and medical burden in parents and children. This work will identify convergent risk mechanisms for the developmental neuropsychiatric disorders that have relevance to the broader population. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for the collection of research data from recruitment through quality assessment and data analysis, including the collection of clinical and cognitive data from children suffering from serious neurodevelopmental disorders and their parents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the project including recruitment, screening and assessment of potential participants.
  • Schedule research visits and conduct semi-structured clinical interviews with participants and their families.
  • Administer neurocognitive tests and collect and maintain clinical and neurocognitive data.
  • Attend research team meetings and assist with IRB submissions and progress reports.
  • Upload data in relevant databases and accurately maintain project databases and other participant related information.

Requirements

  • CRC-A: Bachelor's degree in biomedical related field and 1-2 years of prior clinical research experience working in psychosis or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience working with individuals with psychotic or neurodevelopmental disorders and children/adolescents.
  • Experience in semi-structured diagnostic interviewing and psychological testing.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, oral and written communication and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, data management skills, and experience working independently.
  • CRC-B: Bachelor's Degree in biomedical related field with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Masters degree and experience working with individuals with psychotic or neurodevelopmental disorders and children/adolescents.

Nice-to-haves
