About the position
The Clinical Research Billing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting clinical research billing compliance operations within the Clinical Trials Office at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This position is responsible for ensuring that study teams complete billing reviews in a timely manner while adhering to all clinical research billing regulations. The specialist will also train study teams, identify delays, and work collaboratively to implement best practices across various study teams.
Responsibilities
- Train study teams on Epic Tier 1 review processes
- Identify delays and work with study teams to mitigate
- Develop study team related SOPs
- Support Central Billing Review
- Work with central Billing Reviewers on streamlining/improving processes
- Report to institutional leadership on current status of billing review
- Strategize and implement best practices across study teams
Requirements
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years related work experience required
- Clinical Trials experience; Epic experience preferred
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve specific goals
- Curious, with strong critical thinking skills and a commitment to change initiatives
