About the position

GPM is seeking a detail oriented CRA I to assist in the coordination and implementation of clinical research projects, predominately at Spanish-speaking sites, beginning with a project initiated by the Global Critical Care program called Project EVAT (Escala de Valoración de Alerta Temprana). The ideal candidate will operate under general supervision. The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research. The CRA I will be joining a team of CRAs in the Research Operations Core and may support future studies that vary in nature and scope and will include quality improvement and non-therapeutic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Education and training of international site staff on study-related activities
  • Data collection and documentation
  • Quality assurance of international site data
  • Organization and maintenance of study files and records
  • Management of study team meetings, including preparing agendas and meeting minutes
  • Communication and collaboration with the Principal Investigator, internal GPM staff, and international site staff
  • Attendance of investigator meetings

Requirements

  • Knowledge of clinical/biomedical research
  • General knowledge of Federal Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, institutional committee review and reporting requirements (IRB and Scientific Committee), and regulatory affairs
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and summarize data
  • Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate meetings across different time zones
  • Cultural sensitivity is a must
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of pediatric oncology a plus
  • Flexibility to travel internationally (no more than 10%)

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior industry experience preferred
  • Spanish fluency highly preferred
