About the position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on LifeLine EMS's Critical Care Team (CCT), you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care during medical transport. This role involves administering critical care and advanced life support (ALS) treatment to sick or injured individuals in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. You will work collaboratively with the LifeLine team to ensure the well-being and safety of patients, requiring a California RN License, BLS/CPR certification, and a minimum of two years of recent critical care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain certifications and licenses, including county regulations.
  • Engage in continuous education to meet additional training requirements.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately.
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients and continuously monitor their condition.
  • Administer necessary medical interventions and treatments according to established protocols.
  • Maintain proficiency in airway management techniques.
  • Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other members of the transport team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols during patient care and transport.
  • Utilize electronic patient care reporting system (ePCR) for documentation.

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nurse's License (Required).
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification (Required).
  • Current PALS Certification (Required).
  • Current ACLS Certification (Required).
  • 2 years of critical care experience (ER, ICU, or other critical care areas) within the previous 18 months (Required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in emergency medicine or critical care settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in high-stress situations.
