About the position
The Clinical Psychologist at A thru Z Pediatrics is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating children with various mental, social, or emotional disorders. The role involves developing a comprehensive program alongside other mental health professionals to address the needs of children and their families. The psychologist will provide psycho-diagnostic services, conduct psychological evaluations, and offer evidence-based psychotherapy, while also supervising psychometrists and graduate students.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat children with mental, social, or emotional disorders.
- Conduct psychological evaluations for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy using various modalities for children and adolescents.
- Supervise psychometrists and Master/Doctoral level students during their internships.
- Maintain communication with care providers, patients, and families to address treatment concerns.
- Consult with peers and leadership on difficult clinical cases as required by Texas licensure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Psychology.
- Licensed Psychologist credentials.
- Proficiency in psychotherapy and patient assessment.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management.
- Experience in behavioral health and mental health counseling.
- Skills in psychological testing and diagnostic evaluation.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Experience with child and family counseling, particularly with children and individuals with autism.
