Clinical & Pharmacy Liaison
About The Position
Gastro Florida is seeking a competent, conscientious, service-oriented individual with strong character to assist with in-house pharmacy operations. This role will primarily focus on obtaining prior authorizations for multiple specialty medications for Gastro Florida patients, in addition to performing traditional pharmacy technician duties. The individual will work onsite and serve as the liaison between Gastro Florida's clinical locations, the corporate office, and the Gastro Florida Pharmacy. This position reports to the Community Affairs Manager and the Gastro Florida corporate office. Occasional travel to health fairs, treatment facilities, and Gastro Florida offices may be required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 2 years of medical office experience working with insurances to obtain medication prior authorizations for specialty medications such as biologics.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of specialty pharmacy experience working with insurances to obtain medication prior authorizations for specialty medications such as biologics.
- 4 years' experience as MA, LPN, pharmacy tech, pharmacy certification CPhT and/or community outreach clinics.
- eClinicalWorks experience.
- Criminal background and drug screening required.
- Excellent professional references.
Responsibilities
