About The Position

Shriners Children's Boston has a PRN opportunity available for a Clinical Pharmacist. Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, this position will provide clinical pharmacy services, pharmacy student teaching and pharmacy operational duties as appropriate. The pay range for this position is $49.51/hour to $84.87/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.

Requirements

Bachelor in Pharmacy
Pharmacy license in state of practice

Responsibilities

Reviews physician's drug orders and provides quality and timely advice to ensure that they are accurate, appropriate, and complete.
Appropriately prepares and oversees the preparation of medications and compounded sterile products for use.
Conducts and oversees the preparation and dispensing of medications, guided by professional standards of practice.
Oversees inventory management in the pharmacy and in all medication storage areas to ensure proper and appropriate stock at all time.
Recommends, monitors and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
Assists the Director with precepting pharmacy technicians and students.
Reviews controlled substance records.
Promotes medication event management and tracking.
Assumes Operational aspects of the Pharmacy Department in the Director's absence.
