Documentation in patient charts is essential, following acceptable standards for documentation and billing. The role also involves identifying drug therapy strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs, precepting pharmacy students, and participating in committees to improve patient care and develop goals for specialized patient populations. A key aspect of this position is the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare professionals, practitioners, patients, and families.
