About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this role is responsible for the accurate and efficient practice of pharmacy, including general clinical pharmacy services to patients, nurses, and medical staff. The Clinical Pharmacist participates in the Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. They assess the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. This role requires the ability to perform all duties of a registered Pharmacist and is responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy with residency or Pharm D degree from accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of one year of prior hospital pharmacy experience required
