About the position

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the specific age of the patient population on assigned units. The role emphasizes the delivery of quality care in a safe and efficient manner, aligning with the unit's standards of care. The nurse is expected to demonstrate effective work habits and clinical practice while treating all individuals with respect and consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served.
  • Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards.
  • Demonstrate performance aligned with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization.
  • Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
  • BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date.
  • All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
  • Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served.
  • Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient.
