Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s).
- Management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement.
- Promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
- Supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
- Conduct evaluation of productivity and collaborate with finance to forecast revenue and expenses to prepare and manage the unit/department's budget.
- Ensure appropriate staffing plan matching competency with patient acuity.
- Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
- Involve associates in decision through shared governance structure.
- Develop and maintain relationships with associates, physicians, and patients.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
- A minimum of 3 years of RN hospital experience required.
- One-year clinical leadership experience required.
