About the position

The Clinical Nurse Education Manager at UC Davis Health is responsible for coordinating, developing, and maintaining Nursing Excellence programs aimed at achieving optimal patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and nursing-sensitive indicators. This role involves fostering a culture of excellence, supporting nursing recognition programs, and facilitating the Magnet program certification process. The manager will also analyze and present key quality and patient satisfaction outcomes to various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fiscal responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain Nursing Excellence programs and structures.
  • Develop proposals to leverage nursing excellence in leadership and practice.
  • Conduct needs assessments to drive education and program development.
  • Support nursing recognition programs and activities.
  • Produce quarterly and annual nursing reports.
  • Facilitate the Daisy Award recognition program.
  • Oversee application submission and document preparation for ANCC Magnet designation.
  • Analyze and present quality and patient satisfaction outcomes to leadership and staff.
  • Act as a liaison between departments and nursing councils.
  • Assume fiscal responsibility for the division's budget.

Requirements

  • Valid California Registered Nurse License
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing management, leadership, or educator experience
  • Experience in professional writing, presentations, and teaching/education of nurses
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice
  • Proficiency in health care technology
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Full command of the English language
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Project management skills and knowledge of change management theory
  • Expertise in education and training program development and implementation.
