About The Position

NurSelect is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Manager for a PRN leadership opportunity with a well-established specialty healthcare practice in Central Pennsylvania. This role offers flexibility while also providing strong long-term potential, as the client is seeking a candidate who could transition into a permanent leadership position based on performance and organizational fit. This opportunity is ideal for a clinically strong nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient environment and has experience overseeing clinical operations, staff management, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. The Clinical Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising patient care delivery and clinical operations within the practice. This individual will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative leadership to improve workflow efficiency, patient outcomes, staff performance, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
  • Minimum 5+ years of clinical nursing experience with management or leadership responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of outpatient clinical operations and healthcare workflows
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience with EMR systems required

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Experience in specialty physician practices
  • Experience in procedural or surgical clinics
  • Experience in outpatient clinical operations management
  • Experience in staff supervision and quality improvement
  • Experience with EMR workflow optimization
  • Veradigm EMR experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and nursing staff
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and staff evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, regulatory standards, and clinical policies
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance metrics
  • Support efficient office workflow, patient care coordination, and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with providers and outside healthcare partners regarding specialty testing and patient services
  • Monitor operational workflows and departmental efficiency
  • Assist with payroll/timecard approvals and clinical department oversight
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and staff training initiatives
  • Promote exceptional patient experience and team accountability
