About the position

The Sr. Clinical Manager supervises, administers and manages the Primary Care Services of the Infectious Disease Program provided to persons with HIV/AIDS under supervision of the Medical Director(s). Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of assigned department(s) and adherence to Policies and Procedures. Provides leadership and facilitates program's multidisciplinary approach to patient care/services and provider access for clients. Engages in continuing education training and direction for all clinical staff in the development and promotion of a collaborative health care model that focuses on comprehensive, managed care of clients with HIV/AIDS. Maintains responsibility for day-to-day clinical activities to promote excellence; responsible for direct supervision of all nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of IDP and adheres to Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in health care, public administration, nursing, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years management experience in an ambulatory setting.
  • Experience in staff supervision and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish proactive working relationships.
  • Registered Nurse, Certified Nurse Practitioner, or Physician's Assistant strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Knowledge about third-party payer rules and regulations preferred.
