The Clinical Leader of Long-Term Care at Rochester Regional Health is a nursing leadership role focused on providing clinical expertise, mentoring staff, and facilitating patient care in a supportive environment. This position is integral to managing the nursing department, ensuring quality care for residents in a short-term rehabilitation setting, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and assure short- and long-term Nursing Department staff schedules.
- Serve as a clinical resource to staff in problem solving, assessment, and special procedures.
- Coordinate with the Nursing Staff, resident units, and admissions department for rapid admission of residents.
- Supervise dining areas, interacting with residents, families, and staff to ensure a safe and pleasant mealtime experience.
- Facilitate emergency medical assessment and care of residents, including necessary interventions and transportation.
Requirements
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Post-Acute nursing experience preferred.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Exceptional documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- RN License from New York State Education Department (NYSED).
