About The Position

The Clinical Informatics Specialist provides independent consultation, technical assistance, training and program/project administration for the Epic Electronic Health Record. This position will provide consultation to internal and external stakeholders, provide considerable analysis and interpretation of data and trends as it relates to the electronic health record. The Clinical Informatics Specialist collaborates with other healthcare and information technology professionals to analyze, design, implement and evaluate information technology systems that enhance individual and population health outcomes, improve patient care and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret regulations, software, applications and operate hardware for the Center's Epic Electronic Health Record.
  • Ability to present ideas in written form, adjust language or terminology to meet needs of the recipient and use correct grammar, organization and structure.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to successfully complete CPR and CPI or facility adopted de-escalation training.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of Epic Electronic Health Record experience
  • Certified as an Epic Clinical Trainer (CT)
