About the position

The Clinical Faculty Educator position at NEOMED is a part-time role within the College of Medicine, focusing on direct teaching and educational leadership in medical education. The role involves collaboration with the Medical Education team to support curriculum delivery and requires participation in curriculum decision-making processes. The educator will lead courses, assess student learning, and ensure a safe learning environment while continuously improving based on feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in curriculum design, including content organization and integration.
• Assess student learning and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Engage in continuous improvement based on evaluation data and student feedback.
• Recruit, develop, and support instructors for the curriculum.
• Conduct direct teaching in small groups focusing on communication, patient interviewing, and clinical skills.
• Precept ambulatory clinical experiences and assess clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree.
• Must hold a faculty appointment at NEOMED with a rank of Assistant Professor or higher.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in the area of clinical expertise.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio.
• Minimum of two years of experience in undergraduate or graduate medical program teaching.
