About The Position

Allegiance Mobile Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Education Specialist to lead and advance clinical education initiatives across the organization's initial and advanced EMS education programs. Reporting to the Clinical Education Manager, this position is responsible for the successful design, implementation, and oversight of EMT, Continuing Education, Critical Care, and Paramedic-level education across the organization. The Clinical Education Specialist utilizes BLS and Advanced Skills laboratories, simulation-based learning environments, and a learning management system (LMS) to deliver consistent, high-quality instruction aligned with current national and state standards.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Paramedic certification or licensure issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
  • Certified EMS Instructor through DSHS, NAEMSE, or an equivalent credentialing body (or attainable within 6 months of hire).
  • Minimum of three to five years of EMS field experience, with demonstrated responsibilities in a leadership, education, or training capacity.
  • Minimum required associate's degree in an EMS-related background, education, or business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Texas EMS regulations, prehospital clinical standards of care, and scope of practice at all provider levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EMS documentation, and learning management platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex clinical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed environment while consistently delivering results.
  • Skilled in professional presentation, adult learning facilitation, and provider coaching and performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clinical sites, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • NAEMSE Instructor Level I or II certification.
  • Experience managing training programs across multiple service areas or geographic regions.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and approval processes, including TDSHS, ISBC, AHA, CAPCE, and CoAEMSP.
  • Prior experience in quality improvement, simulation coordination, EMS classroom instruction, or field training officer (FTO) programs.
  • Experience as a critical care paramedic, flight paramedic, or in a similar advanced practice setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in emergency medical services, Healthcare Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in didactic and skills instruction of the EMS-related card courses (AHA, NAEMT, ASHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the BLS and Advanced/Critical Care EMT education programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Organize, implement, and maintain clinical education programs that support provider growth, credentialing, and compliance with National EMS Education Standards and critical care protocols.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all advanced clinical training initiatives, including continuing education, field training, skills validation, and classroom instruction.
  • Support instructor development, learning management system maintenance, clinical site scheduling, and serve as a primary point of contact for BLS and Advanced EMS education across multiple regions.
  • Collaborate with EMS educators, clinical operations leadership, and Quality Improvement teams to assess training needs, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote evidence-based prehospital care practices.
  • Partner with EMS educators and clinical leadership to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality training that aligns with Texas DSHS, NREMT, and Allegiance Mobile Health Clinical Operating Guidelines.
  • Track and manage provider certification requirements as mandated by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
  • Facilitate organizational compliance with state and national regulatory requirements through timely scheduling, documentation, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of initial and critical care curricula, including maintaining the organizational training calendar.
  • Uphold and promote a culture of professionalism within the classroom, skills laboratory, and at all clinical education sites.
  • Serve as a clinical education resource for field crews, instructors, and preceptors, providing guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Contribute to special projects, including simulation-based training initiatives, scenario development, and community education events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
