About the position

The Clinical Education and Scheduling Coordinator is a key member of the administrative team, providing high-level executive support to the executive officers of the health center. This role is responsible for managing the coordination and scheduling of medical residents and pre-professional students, clinical students, and job shadows, while also maintaining executive calendars, preparing documentation, and supporting internal communications and projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the coordination and scheduling of medical residents and pre-professional students, clinical students, and job shadows.
  • Maintain executive calendars and prepare documentation.
  • Support internal communications and projects.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a Business or Technical School; Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in an executive assistant or healthcare administration role.
  • Experience with residency/student coordination or academic health programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and electronic calendar systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Ability to adjust to changes in clinical site availability, staff schedules, or student needs.
  • Familiarity with FQHC operations and healthcare compliance standards is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the telephone with other staff, the public, patients, and medical providers.
