About the position

The Clinical Education Coordinator for School of Chiropractic reports directly to the Director of Clinical Education. This position is a full-time, 12-month position. In accordance with Campbellsville University and our vision in keeping an emphasis on competency-based education, this position provides administrative responsibilities for the success and management within the chiropractic program. The Clinical Education coordinator is a highly skilled and dynamic lead that oversee our clinical education placement initiatives. The coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with partner healthcare organizations, coordinating student placements, and ensuring high-quality clinical experiences for the Chiropractic students during their last year of training. The coordinator possesses a strong background in healthcare education, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a passion for facilitating student success.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that reports relating to program data are completed, files and submitted to the appropriate offices timely.
  • Represent the Campbellsville School of Chiropractic on various institutional boards.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the clinical education placement program, aligned with the goals and objectives of the institution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and other relevant facilities.
  • Collaborate with faculty, department heads, and administrators to identify clinical education requirements and match students with appropriate placements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the placement process, including student applications, interviews, and site assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for clinical education placements.
  • Collaborate with clinical site personnel to develop and implement orientation and training programs for students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical experiences through regular in person or remote site visits, student feedback, and assessments.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to student performance or clinical placements, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in healthcare education and clinical practice to enhance the program's effectiveness.
  • Foster strong relationships with preceptors and clinical educators, providing them with the necessary resources and support for their role.
  • Collaborate with the institution's career services department to identify potential employment opportunities for student’s post-graduation.
  • Collect and analyze data on clinical education outcomes, including student performance, satisfaction, and employment rates, to drive program improvements.
  • Develop and manage the program's budget, including tracking expenses and identifying potential funding opportunities.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and platforms that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical education placement processes.
  • Co-create and maintain the Chiropractic Clinical Education Web Site / Portal.
  • Maintain records according to university policy (e.g. grades, rosters, textbook orders, graduation applications/reports and requisitions).
  • As defined by the institute, submit and maintain appropriate office hours and on-campus hours per week.
  • Participate in professional development.
  • Participate in church and community service.
  • Serve on community boards and/or advisory councils.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in healthcare administration, education, or a related field.
  • A clinical background is desirable.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in health care education.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare education programs and clinical placement requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing educational and healthcare landscapes and implement innovative approaches to clinical education placement.
  • Advanced skills in word processing, oral and written communication and various learning technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function collegially in a team setting.
  • Ability to communicate and establish public relations with local community, state and national organizations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge in Chiropractic/health care and health care as well as the regulations related to Chiropractic education.
  • Ability to evaluate potential clinical partners in a fair and impartial manner based on qualitative and quantitative data, peers and administration as well as direct observation and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Understand the overall design, development and implementation of Chiropractic educational programs and clinical placements.
  • High standard of values and ethics especially within the Chiropractic profession.
  • Management style that shows a collaborative approach to faculty, staff, and students in the School of Chiropractic.
