About the position

The Clinical Dietitian is a specialized role focused on human nutrition and medical nutrition therapy. This position involves assessing the nutritional status of patients, developing and implementing personalized nutrition care plans, and continuously evaluating and documenting nutritional progress. The Clinical Dietitian plays a crucial role in the interdisciplinary team, ensuring that patient-centered care is achieved by collaborating with patients and their support systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional status of patients based on individualized needs and goals.
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans.
• Evaluate current nutrition status and formulate interventions.
• Reassess for changes in nutritional status and record ongoing progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food Science, or Nutrition.
• Credentialed Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist eligible in Illinois.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Previous experience with patients in a group or individual setting.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing.

Nice-to-haves

• License as a Certified Diabetes Educator.
• 1 year of experience working with patients in a group or individual setting.
