About The Position

The Clinical Court Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring comprehensive care coordination and legal support for members within the Adult System of Care (COT). This position involves extensive documentation management, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), 45-day reviews, amendments, closures, and transfers, ensuring all filings are timely and compliant. The supervisor will coordinate care by following up on appointments with Behavioral Health Medical Providers (BHMP) and Case Managers (CM), and creating detailed care plans. Additionally, the role requires engaging with COT members to connect them with resources, providing ongoing training and support to Case Managers (CMs), Clinical Coordinators (CCs), and Clinical Managers. Data management is a key responsibility, involving daily updates to tracking metrics and collaborating with IT and Quality Management for accurate record-keeping in NextGen and the P drive. The supervisor will also facilitate the review and notarization of legal documents, support the preparation of petitions, and participate in relevant trainings and meetings to enhance team contributions. Regular supervision sessions with the SMI Clinical Director and cross-departmental collaboration with various legal and healthcare stakeholders are integral to this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a mental health related field such as social work, counseling or psychology.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a direct service provider in a Behavioral Health setting.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including prolonged sitting and in certain positions driving, lifting 20lbs, walking, standing and executing dexterity with a keyboard or smart pad.
  • Ability to maintain DPS fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage comprehensive record keeping, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), 45-day reviews, amendments, closures, and transfers.
  • Ensure timely filing of all relevant documents with the appropriate commissioners, tracking deadlines and setting reminders.
  • Follow up on 30-day appointments with Behavioral Health Medical Providers (BHMP) and Case Managers (CM).
  • Create comprehensive care plans for COT members, addressing unique needs and facilitating a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Conduct outreach efforts to engage COT members and ensure they are aware of and can access available resources and support services.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for Case Managers (CMs), Clinical Coordinators (CCs), and GMHSU Clinical Managers.
  • Collect, collate, and update tracking metrics for COT members using a comprehensive spreadsheet.
  • Collaborate with Quality Management (QM) and IT teams to ensure accurate document uploading and updating in NextGen and the designated P drive.
  • Develop protocols for document management and ensure staff are trained in these processes.
  • Facilitate the review and notarization of legal documents, including DCS subpoenas.
  • Support CCs in preparing petitions, including emergent petitions and Psychiatric Advance Directives (PAD).
  • Participate in COT trainings and other relevant coordination meetings.
  • Meet with CCs regularly to review case progress, discuss challenges, and brainstorm solutions.
  • Collaborate with CD to consistently implement policies and procedures across the Clinical Coordinator environment.
  • Assist teams in daily duties if a CC is out on PTO.
  • Track and follow up with transfers/referrals from Mercy Care and other Health Plans.
  • Participate in weekly supervision sessions with the SMI Clinical Director.
  • Actively collaborate with other stakeholders, including lawyers, public advocates, jails, county offices, public defenders, hospitals, guardians, and court coordinators.
