About the position

The Clinical Behavioral Health Program Manager position at Advanced Behavioral Health (ABH) is a full-time hybrid role based in Danbury, CT. This position is pivotal in representing ABH and its services, ensuring adherence to best practices, guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the organization. The Program Manager will play a crucial role in promoting ABH as a leader in behavioral healthcare through all interactions and work conducted within the community. In this role, the Program Manager will have overall responsibility for the implementation of the SAFE Family Recovery program within the designated region. This includes supervising Recovery Support Specialists and MDFR Specialists, monitoring staff training completion, and ensuring quality assurance activities are met. The Program Manager will also be responsible for submitting necessary data and reports to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) as required by contract, as well as writing reports for programs and DCF. Attendance at client case consultation and service planning meetings will be required, along with serving as the local program point of contact for DCF, community providers, and juvenile courts. The supervisory duties of this position include managing staff assigned to the program, fostering a positive working environment conducive to morale and teamwork, recruiting and hiring qualified employees, and providing orientation and on-the-job training. The Program Manager will establish measurable short and long-term goals to meet contract requirements, ensuring these expectations are communicated clearly to all direct and indirect reports. Additionally, the Program Manager will review and approve timesheets, oversee daily responsibilities of direct reports, and provide year-round feedback, counseling, coaching, and training resources as necessary. Performance evaluations will be completed in a timely manner, outlining goals and expectations clearly, and securing necessary approvals for processing paperwork.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree required.
  • Fully Licensed or Affiliate Licensure in social work, marriage and family, professional counseling, or similar field required.
  • Preferred considerable experience working in the adult substance use field serving families involved with child protective services.
  • Achieve and maintain supervisor certification in MDFR, Recovery Support Services, and SBIRT.
  • Compliance with current State of Connecticut and federal health and vaccine requirements.
  • Attends annual Conflict of Interest training.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff for effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and planning skills.
  • Must have valid Connecticut driver's license, reliable transportation, and carry insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent PC skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Package (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook); internet.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
