Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience implementing/maintaining large, complex clinical software system, which includes EMR
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Demonstrated understanding of hospital operations and clinical and business workflows, particularly the relationships that exist between clinical and financial processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare information systems industry, emerging technologies, and relevant laws and regulations to insure appropriate decision making throughout the implementation process
  • BS degree in Nursing, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics or Business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work within team structures and across functional teams
  • Ability to understand, create and update detailed project plans and to understand and create process flows
  • Ability to translate complex information to a novice level and to understand the needs of the university and translate that into solutions
  • Ability to multitask within a dynamic and fluid work environment
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity independently
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and to analyze and interpret data in order to draw valid conclusions for complex business issues

Responsibilities

  • Implementing/maintaining large, complex clinical software system, which includes EMR

  • Managing sensitive information learned in the course of performing their duties. Sensitive information includes but is not limited to employee and student records, health and patient records, financial data, strategic plans, proprietary information, and any other sensitive or non-public information learned during the course and scope of employment.
