The MA III performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under direct supervision. Clinical duties include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. This position involves medication administration. The LPN also performs administrative duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. This position involves medication administration as ordered by the physician and performing specific competencies as directed by the department. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship (Required effective 9/1/20)
  • Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP (for MA III)
  • Graduate of an state board accredited practical nursing program (for LPN)
  • Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri (for LPN)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Carry out delegated tasks under supervision of a provider (for MA III)
  • Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite (for LPN)
  • Proficient Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people (for MA III)
  • Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting (for MA III)
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting (for LPN)
  • IV certification in State of Missouri (for LPN)
