About The Position

This position involves both administrative and clinical duties within a healthcare setting. The MA III performs administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry. Clinical duties include taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, and administering medications under supervision. The LPN role also includes administrative duties like phone management and scheduling, alongside clinical responsibilities such as vital signs, patient preparation, room and equipment cleaning, supply stocking, and medication administration as ordered by a physician. Both roles require performing specific competencies as directed by the department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship (for MA III).
  • Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP (for MA III).
  • Graduate of a state board accredited practical nursing program (for LPN).
  • Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri (for LPN).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Carry out delegated tasks under supervision of a provider or as directed by supervisors/with provider oversight.
  • Proficient Computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people (for MA III).
  • Previous experience in a health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting (for MA III).
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting (for LPN).
  • IV certification in the State of Missouri (for LPN).
