About the position

The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic under the direction and supervision of the Regional Administrator. This role includes ensuring the processing of patient payments, preparation of patient and insurance billing, purchase orders, and documentation for financial disbursement and reimbursements. The Clinic Coordinator must assure accurate and timely preparation of reports and ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently. This position requires maintaining a high level of confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, as the Coordinator has access to personal data regarding individual patients and families, as well as sensitive company financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic
  • Ensure processing of patient payments
  • Prepare patient and insurance billing
  • Handle purchase orders and documentation for financial disbursement
  • Assure accurate and timely preparation of reports
  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and timely
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA

Requirements

  • 1 year of management and customer service experience in related field required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice-to-haves

  • AA Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent academic study
  • At least 1 year experience in medical records working in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Bi-lingual - English/Spanish
  • Experience with medical terminology and health insurance claims, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Three years' experience in managing a health care office or related facility, with two years in a supervisory capacity
