About the position

The Climate Control Technician at Corrigan Oil Co is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining portable heating, air conditioning, and dehumidifying equipment. This full-time, non-exempt position emphasizes customer satisfaction and safety, requiring the technician to work both independently and collaboratively. The role involves adhering to company protocols, producing safety reports, and managing equipment in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain portable heating, air conditioning, and dehumidifying equipment.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Fill out basic digital forms in the field.
  • Communicate effectively with authority, co-workers, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with company protocols during work.
  • Produce detailed safety and incident reports as needed.
  • Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.
  • Work extended hours when required for scheduling and/or job completion.
  • Work in varying weather conditions as necessary.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Lift up to 80 pounds and push/pull 75 pounds of equipment.
  • Climb ladders as required.
  • Handle exposure to dust, fumes, heights, and high noise levels.
  • Utilize company WO software to complete projects.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends.
  • Manage high-stress situations and frequent interruptions effectively.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid chauffeur's driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical skillset.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment 7-year criminal background check.
