About the position

The Client Services Specialist (CSS) position at the Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) focuses on providing support to clients by informing them and their attorneys about available sentencing options and treatment services. This role is essential in assessing and evaluating clients for community-based treatment solutions, particularly within the juvenile and mental health sectors. The position offers the opportunity for remote work up to one day per week after the initial training period, emphasizing a commitment to work-life balance and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Inform clients and attorneys about available sentencing options and treatment services.
• Assess and evaluate clients for community-based treatment options.
• Develop treatment proposals by identifying available community resources.
• Communicate effectively with diverse clientele, including those with mental health and addiction issues.
• Gather information through interviews with clients of various backgrounds.

Requirements

• Experience in interviewing and gathering information from individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
• Training in developing treatment proposals and identifying community resources such as AODA and mental health programs.
• Strong communication skills with diverse clientele, including those facing mental health, addiction, and criminal background challenges.
