About the position
The Client Service Leader for USACE Military & Civil Works is responsible for leading and expanding CDM Smith's Architect-Engineer-Construction (AEC) portfolio with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This role involves developing strategies for new and existing contracts, fostering growth in national and international programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address client needs. The position allows for flexible working environments, including in-office, hybrid, or remote options.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the client-facing representative for USACE military programs and civil works initiatives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Architect-Engineer and Construction services with USACE divisions and districts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative digital solutions for clients.
- Lead strategic business development efforts, including office meetings and webinars.
- Maintain an established business network with client decision-makers and teaming partners.
- Act as capture manager for proposal efforts, managing communication among technical experts and marketing professionals.
- Coordinate with USACE Program and Project Managers to ensure client satisfaction and quality project delivery.
- Stay informed about federal marketplace opportunities, including competitors and partners.
- Participate in leadership roles in professional societies and associations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 15 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience working for USACE or as a consultant to USACE.
- Experience with OCONUS federal programs/projects.
- Experience with federal construction programs/projects.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a plus.
