About the position

The Lead Consultant at Allstate plays a crucial role in representing insured clients and the company in various legal proceedings, including bodily injury and property damage lawsuits. This position involves preparing for and conducting hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions, ensuring that clients are well-informed and supported throughout the legal process.

Responsibilities

• Conducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents.
• Prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses.
• Keeps claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, pre-trial, etc.).
• Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions.
• Reviews new file assignments, all documentary evidence, and approves initial pleadings, propounds discovery, and/or develops strategy.
• Investigates and pursues subrogation litigation as appropriate.
• Drafts post-trial motions.
• Tries and/or arbitrates cases by preparing motions, motions in limine, and summary documents in limine.
• Conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.).
• Prepares and conducts court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.).

Requirements

• 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Juris Doctor (Required)
• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
