About the position

The Systems Engineer position at GA-CCRi involves contributing to the design and development of scalable, high-performance systems for the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. The role focuses on utilizing advanced modeling methodologies and Systems Modeling Language (SysML) to create solutions that enhance situational awareness capabilities. The engineer will work on frameworks that meet Department of Defense System of Systems (SoS) architectures, ensuring system safety and cyber approval while effectively communicating technical concepts to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain frameworks to meet Department of Defense (DoD) SoS architectures.
  • Utilize Systems Engineering methodologies to streamline system safety, cyber approval, and certification processes.
  • Analyze and interpret customer, user, and operational requirements to design and implement solutions that meet project objectives.
  • Manage and control changes to software, documentation, and integrated components.
  • Document and communicate highly technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and effective manner.
  • Communicate system requirements, design specifications, and project progress with management, customers, developers, and users.
  • Observe all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Requirements

  • A Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and two or more years experience on system engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with SysML-based tools (Cameo or others).
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and use of associated tools.
  • An understanding of formal software engineering principles including design, documentation, ticketing systems, version control and Agile methodologies.
  • Customer focused, flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving specifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect (CEA) or Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM).
  • Experience in military systems and programs.
  • Knowledge of relevant domains such as aerospace or defense industries.
  • Geospatial data processing.
  • Curious and excited to learn new technologies.
  • Interested in maintaining and adapting complex systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.
  • Databases technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, or other DBs).
